About Danielle

Photo of Danielle Anderson, MFTHello and Welcome! My name is Danielle and I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist providing individual and group therapy for women in Santa Barbara, Goleta, Isla Vista, and Montecito.

It takes a lot of courage and vulnerability to seek therapy and I am honored to have the opportunity to join my clients in their life journey.

My interest is in helping clients thrive, and live a full, rich, and meaningful life. In order to achieve this, I believe life’s challenges must be met with care, compassion, acceptance and commitment, even in the presence of painful experiences. It is then that we are open to the true joy of what is most important to us.

I work collaboratively with clients to set and achieve goals in a warm, safe and non-judgmental environment; allowing them to explore, heal, and reconnect with their best self.

My training is in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, along with other evidence-based and mindfulness-based therapy techniques. Over the past several years I have worked alongside both men and women who are struggling with painful experiences yet have a desire to discover their authentic selves in order to move through the pain and suffering and live a full, rich, and meaningful life.

I was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California and earned my Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University, Santa Barbara. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a proud member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. I live in Santa Barbara with my husband, Matt and son, Sutter.
